Our aim is to always have a minimum of 4 volunteers and/or interns working at the academy at a given time.
This gives you the opportunity to spend your experiences with others and have discover Uganda together, in your spare time.

A unique environment
As a volunteer at El Cambio Academy you will gain meaningful work experience and feel part of a unique project. Whether you join as a coordinator or coach, your stay with us will be unforgettable.
Here are some details on your stay with us.
How will I live?
- You will stay at the academy in Masaka, which is a two-hour drive away from Kampala, the capital of Uganda
- The city center is only minutes away by boda-boda (taxi)
- There are great restaurants in the heart of the city with good WiFi to stay connected with your family and friends
- One of the restaurants also has a swimming pool for those who want to swim
Discover Uganda
Uganda is known as the Pearl of Africa. There are many sites that give you the opportunity to experience the beauty of the country.
- National parks with breath-taking scenery and a range of wild animals
- Lake Victoria which is largest lake on the African continent
- Go river rafting on the Nile
- Kampala is a vibrant with all that you need to have a good time
- Uganda is very safe. It is easy to travel around the country and you will always find friendly and welcoming people wherever you are in the country

Why our academy?
Our interns are a part of the academy – involved and engaged from their first day. The interns that join our team come from different backgrounds and bring their talents to drive the organization, grow our people and make an impact.
Below are some examples of internships that are available for 3 months, 6 months and 12 months.
Marketing internship
Become an intern at El Cambio Academy in marketing.
Are you dreaming about getting an exclusive insight into how El Cambio Academy is managed, or are you interested in making a difference? Then an internship here at El Cambio Academy might be something for you.
At El Cambio Academy, you will get the opportunity to work with a variety of tasks within management, project management, marketing on social media and much more. An interest in football is great, but definitely not required, all applicants are welcome! If this sounds like something for you, you’re more than welcome to contact us.
Football internship
This internship program focuses solely on the football aspect of the academy. You will work within the football department and gain invaluable experience on how our academy is operated and run. Undergraduate and graduate students with relevant studies should apply.
